Achievements
With so much happening at Millennium, can the glory be far behind? Team Millennium has been bagging prizes and awards at competitions all over the place. Here are the highlights in reverse chronological order.
December 2009
Millennium has the Pune regional Spell Bee champion! You can read the article on our blog. The school also won a district level badminton trophy. You can read about it here. Our school was featured for best practices in education. You can find the article here.

Millennium produces national scholars! Apurva Ketkar of std 9 is a recipient of the National Talent Scholarship Examination. It is indeed a great honour! Congratulations Apurva.
The selection for the NTS is quite an involving process. Students have to clear a state level exam, then a national level written exam and then an interview round. Please do not confuse this scholarship with the other private scholarships that have given themselves the same acronym. This is the best that is in the country and Apurva has proven herself amongst her peers nationwide. We are all so proud!
July 2009
We are really happy to announce that 4 of our students secured the Higher School Scholarship (Std.7) and 2 students in the Middle School Scholarship exam (Std. 4) of 2009!
Std 7
- Rujuta Kelkar – Rank 16
- Poorvi Thigale – Rank 27
- Mukta Joshi – Rank 37
- Manasi Raje – Rank 33
Std 4
- Anish Kulkarni – Rank 5
- Hrishikesh Alatkar – Rank 9
No doubt these children worked hard for the exams, but special mention must be made for the teachers who worked equally hard to get all the students the marks that they have got!
June 2009
Our school was featured as a unique bagless school on the IBN Lokmat Channel. Dr. Phatak’s relentless efforts have been recognized once again. Not only have we made our school bagless, thereby reducing early childhood health problems, but we have also made sure that academics does not suffer, using worksheets and multimedia.
Our children get the best of everything… be it sports or academics!
Our second batch of SSC passed the SSC exam with flying colours!

Announcing our stars - Apoorva Ketkar, Manasi Bhopale and Shubhankar Pimplikar!
The good news just keeps rolling in!! Our school’s first SSC result is 100%! 32 students appeared, out of which 5 got 90% and above, 14 got 80% and above, 8 got 70% and above, and 5 got 60% and above. Since this was our first SSC result, it was very important that we got a good one, and boy, did we!

2. Tanvi Gunabharit was 2nd at 90.61%. She got 150/150 in Mathematics.

3. Kajal Patel – 90.46%

March 2008
- Our kids have excelled again in sports! Raghavendra Tupekar and Saurabh Hejib won the Gold and silver medals at the District Level Skating Competition.
- Our girls from Std.6 won the District Level Qualifiers in Basketball, and have progressed to Quarter finals in the next step.
The point to note here is that these kids have learnt the sport they have excelled in, in the school. This reflects on our philosophy that a child should be an all rounder - all the way. The kids who excel in other schools usually go for training to some other institute - the school hardly coaches them. But our philosophy, that, all kids must learn to play all the sports taught in the school, is carrying off very well.
Our heartfelt congratulations to the kids!
Success surely is a well known thing to our children. After cracking the Ganit Pravinya, and getting selected amongst a few in Maharashtra, Mahimna Kelkar, Sayli Bapat, Chinmay Markale, Kaustubh Vinchure and Shubhang Kulkarni, were selected in the top 90 students of Maharashtra amongst thousands who had appeared.
January 2008
- Team Millennium won the first place in a competition sponsored by Neeti Solutions. . We won the first place in Evacuation and Knowledge Hunt (considering that it was similar to our Treasure Hunt, it was obvious that we would win!), and won the first runners up in Snakes and Ladders.
- Many children were selected after the first round of the Ganit Pravinya All Maharashtra Mathematics exam and the International Abacus Competition.
- Students were selected for National Level Basketball and Volleyball.
- Next, we were visited by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Balramji Jakhar, for a prize distribution ceremony. We wanted to appreciate all our kids who had excelled academically and non-academically. But, you have to remember, that without the teachers, there is nothing that these kids would have achieved. Our teachers went way out of their way to train these kids to help them achieve their goals. He praised our childrens’ capabilities and praised the teachers for their “always on” support. It was a great honour to have him over!
August 2007
Awesome Scholarship Result. Two of our students secured the scholarship in the 4th std group! Mahimna Kelkar came 3rd, and Sayali Bapat came 10th in Pune (Of course, we don’t need to mention that all others passed with flying colours). This is great news! All the hard of the children paid off! We hope to increase the number year after year. It gives us a great sense of accomplishment - especially because we train the children a lot for these exams.
