5, 2003 - Farm experience

The
children of standard 5 and 6 enjoyed a trip to a farm. They
saw how tomatoes, corn, bananas, sugarcane and other crops
are grown. They were shown the process of how the field
is prepared, ploughed and how the crops are watered and
harvested. They also saw jaggery being made and tasted fresh
sugarcane and jaggery! All in all - a wonderful experience. |

19 and 20, 2004 - Miniature trains and a whole city in
itself
Children
of Std. 1 and 2 visited Joshi Museum. It was a museum of miniature
railways. It had a station yard, platforms, announcement systems,
goods loadings, signals, different engines and a lot of other
things. It is a whole miniature city with exclusive scale
models. |

21, 2004 - Museum Trip
The
students of standard 4 and 5 visited Mahatma Phule museum.
They saw various irrigation models, dams and canyons
and the weapons used by the people in the 17th and 18th
century. There were also various handicraft items made
by the people of that time. A very enriching journey
into the past. |

22, 2004 - Coke Factory
'Thanda
matlab Coca-Cola'. Our 3rd graders know what exactly they
mean when they say that. They all visited the Coca-Cola factory.
They saw how the coke is chilled, bottled and packaged for
distribution. They saw how the plastic bottles are made and
how the glass ones are washed and reused. Too bad the formula
of Coke is a such a well guarded secret..they all wanted to
know that too! |

23, 2004 - Sinhagad
The
fourth graders- who learn about Shivaji in history,
weren't satisfied with just the textbook. So, they had
a field trip to Sinhagad. They saw the fort, walked
around and imagined how it must have been in all its
glory and fame. Quite an exhausting trek for most of
the youngsters! |

24, 2004 - Parle-G Factory
It
was the turn of the 5th and 6th standard yet again as
picnics were concluded for the academic year. This was
a trip to the Parle-G factory to see how they make the
popular glucose biscuits. They even got the recipe to
bake them and a complete tour around the factory. |
